Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi, who won the National Award for his performance in ‘Drohkaal’, tied the knot with fashion designer Rupali Barua in an intimate wedding.
The 57-year-old actor ‘reportedly’ made it official with Rupali, who hails from Guwahati, at a private ceremony in Kolkata on Thursday. After the news broke, pictures of the couple started doing the rounds on social media. For the wedding ceremony, Vidyarthi opted for a traditional cream silk kurta with white ‘mundu’ (type of lungi) as an ode to his Kerala father. He wore a red-white stole around his neck. The bride kept it classy in a pearl white mekhela chador (traditional Assamese saree) with a gold zari border and peacock motif embroidery. She completed her look with traditional gold jewellery.
