Bengaluru reported more than 5,000 COVID-19 cases in the first six days of July, i.e. from July 1 to 6, according to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) figures. Notably, the city reported 1,053 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, while 985 people recovered from the disease in one day. The number of active cases in Bengaluru now stands at 6,056.
