PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti called the decision of the Karnataka High Court on the hijab controversy “deeply disappointing”. Taking to Twitter, Mufti wrote, ”Court’s decision to uphold hijab ban is deeply disappointing. On one hand, we talk about empowering women yet we are denying them the right to a simple choice. It isn’t just about religion but freedom to choose.”
