JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy on Monday urged Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai not to celebrate Hindi Diwas by utilising the taxpayers’ money. In a letter, the former Karnataka Chief Minister noted that thousands of languages, dialects, and diverse social and cultural practices make India a “great union”. “In such a land, celebrating one particular language is injustice,” Kumaraswamy added.
