Karnataka state government has promoted four IPS officers of the 2004 batch to the post of inspector-General of Police. The officers are, Labhu Ram, Sandeep Patil, Dr PS Harsha and Vikash Kumar Vikash, are currently in different posts in the capacity of Deputy Inspector General of Police. Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) in Bengaluru, has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (West).
Dr PS Harsha, who was working as Commissioner in the Department of Information and Public Relations(DIPR), will continue in the same and upgraded. Labhu Rram and Vikash Kumar Vikash will continue in their respective posts as Hubballi-Dharwad City Police Commissioner and Managing Director, Mysore Sales International Limited.
