Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday, January 23 paid a floral tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his 125th birth anniversary and announced that the state government will be holding year-long celebrations in schools and colleges to perpetuate the freedom fighter’s memory.
NetajiSubhashChandraBose was a fearless son of Bharat Mata who built a force for freedom and fuelled it with his fiery nationalistic passion and patriotism. To celebrate his life & contributions & to ensure his ideals are passed on to the youth of our state,he said.
The statue of Netaji will be relocated to a suitable location in the front side of the Vidhan Soudha – for we believe that is where the idol of a leader like him should be seen standing – leading us all as we work for this country.
Books and publications that dwell upon his life will be published in Kannada by the govt and take them to the youth of the state,he tweets.
In 2023, we will celebrate Netaji’s B’day at this new location where it will be reinstalled. We also commit to positively respond to the demands of various organisations dedicated to taking Netaji’s vision ahead.
