Karnataka government imposes weekend curfew and extend night curfew until January 19. Curfew will be in place between 10 pm and 5 am across the state. The meeting was held ion Tuesday in view of the sudden surge of Covid-19 cases in the state.
In Bengaluru Urban district, all schools and colleges will remain closed from January 6, except medical and paramedical institutions and for students in classes 10, 11 and 12. Schools in other districts will continue to function as usual.
Pubs/clubs/restaurants/bars/ cinema halls/multiplexes/theatres/auditoriums etc, will function with 50 percent seating capacity. Entry restricted to fully vaccinated people (2 dose).
Revenue Minister R Ashoka said, “Many people who have returned from Goa after the new year have tested positive. We are looking to trace everyone who returned from Goa after January 1; they will be tested. RT-PCR test will be done for international passengers from high-risk countries.
