An invigilator of Class 10 examination at a school in Karnataka’s Bengaluru was suspended for wearing hijab and arguing with officials in favour of allowing Muslim girls to wear hijabs and enter classrooms.
The Department of Education has suspended an invigilator for refusing to take off the hijab while conducting the examination at KSTV High School. Noor Fathima, who was on exam duty, came clad in a hijab. When she was asked to remove it, she refused and was later sent back from the examination centre and suspended, sources in the education department said.
