Kathak legend Pandit Birju Maharaj passed away aged 83 at his home in Delhi late Sunday after suffering a heart attack. “He was under treatment for the past month. He had sudden breathlessness.we brought him to the hospital and within 10 minutes, he passed away,” Ragini Maharaj, granddaughter of Birju Maharaj.
