Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman rejected opposition allegations that the government is increasing fuel price as the Assembly elections are over and said “it has nothing to do with election time”. The war in Ukraine has impacted all countries by disrupting supply chains, particularly of crude oil, and this is not a time when “we are looking at racing”, she added.
