Pakistan’s federal government on Friday imposed a permanent ban on entry of rallies and processions in Islamabad. Rallies in the city will only be permitted after a written agreement between organisers and the city’s administration. This comes days after clashes broke out at ex-PM Imran Khan ‘Azadi March’, which was headed towards Islamabad, and led to arrest of several people.
