Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ has beaten Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ to become the highest-grossing film in Tamil Nadu, as per trade analyst Trinath. “At the end of Wednesday, Ponniyin Selvan: I’s Tamil Nadu gross stood at around ₹186 crore. It has beaten Vikram’s lifetime collection in [the state] in less than two weeks,” the analyst stated.
