Two-time Olympic medal-winning shuttler PV Sindhu on Monday bagged her first-ever CWG gold medal in singles. The 27-year-old defeated Michelle Li of Canada 21-15, 21-13 in the women’s singles final at CWG 2022 in Birmingham. It is Sindhu’s third singles medal at CWG after her silver at 2018 Gold Coast Games and bronze at 2014 Glasgow Games.
