On Republic Day Eve, President Ram Nath Kovind approved the conferment of the Jeevan Rakshak Padak Series of Awards to as many as 51 citizens. The awards include Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak to six people, Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak to 16 persons and Jeevan Raksha Padak to 29 persons. Five persons were given the award posthumously.
