Russia is considering accepting Bitcoin as payment for oil and gas exports from “friendly’ nations like China and Turkey. Russia’s head of energy committee Pavel Zavalny said “friendly” countries could be allowed to pay in Bitcoin or in their local currencies. Zavalny also said he supported Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to sell natural gas to “unfriendly” nations in rubles.
