Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s mother Paola Maino passed away at her home in Italy on August 27 (Saturday), AICC general secretary in-charge of communication Jairam Ramesh tweeted. He added that her funeral took place on Tuesday. Sonia, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi reportedly visited Paola, who was ailing, last week.
