Supporters of the two-day Bharat Bandh put up rail and road blockades in various places across West Bengal on Monday. CPI(M) functionaries and supporters organised protest marches and were purportedly seen blocking railway tracks in Jadavpur, Dum Dum, Barasat, Shyamnagar and Belgharia, among other places. A scuffle reportedly broke out between bandh supporters and police personnel in Jadavpur.
