The World Bank on Tuesday forecasted that the Ukrainian economy will fall 35% this year amid the ongoing invasion of the country by Russia. The bank expects the Ukrainian economy will return to growth in 2023, expanding by 3.3%. It further estimated that rebuilding Ukraine will cost at least $349 billion, i.e. 1.5 times the size of Ukraine’s pre-war economy.
