Commonwealth Games 2022 gold medallist Vinesh Phogat lost to Mongolia’s Khulan Batkhuyag 0-7 in the qualification round of the women’s freestyle 53kg category at the World Wrestling Championships. Notably, Vinesh still has a chance to win a medal through the Repechage round. She’ll have to defeat Kazakhstan’s Zhuldyz Eshimova and then Azerbaijan’s Leyla Gurbanova to enter the bronze medal match.
