The voting in the Conservative Party leadership race between Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss to replace Boris Johnson as Britain’s next PM closed on Friday. The result will be announced on September 5 at 12:30 pm BST (17:00 pm IST). The winner will be formally appointed PM on September 6 by Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral, her castle in Scotland.
