Qatar summoned Indian ambassador Deepak Mittal and handed him a note expressing disappointment, rejection and condemnation “to the controversial remarks made by an official in the ruling party in India against Prophet Mohammed”. Welcoming BJP’s decision to suspend the official, Qatar said it’s “expecting a public apology and immediate condemnation of these remarks” from Indian government.
